rock on

for a couple of weeks now we have been working on the "rock on" project, where we create a band from the ground up. Our band was call Comatose Flamingo. My team and i created a bio of the band, planed a tour. Our tour was called No Fear, and we created stops of where we were going to play and times with prices of our tickets. We also found local bands for our opening acts. Then each of us created our own bus from transportation to each place we play at.

spring break

this spring break i went to Dallas to see all my old friends. My friend Crystal went to dallas with me. when we got to dallas i got to see all my old friends that i had'nt seen in 2 years. we all went down to the lake to like old times. Then when we got back to my friends where we were staying it was about 1 in the morning and we werent tired, so we decited to go cow tippin or at lest try. when we finaly got through all the barbwire fences we saw the cows. we tried to creep up on them but they were already awake so they started running and we started chasing then we had them corned and we were ready to tip. then we hear this loud mooo and one cow raise up and kick his legs in the air. by the time we realized that is was a bull it was already charging at us so we started running for our lives.

the 7 key marketing functions are distribution(the way a company get the product to the customer), selling(direct or indirect communication with the customers to satisfy their needs), pricing(the value or cost of the good), financing(assistant for paying for the good), marketing-info management(getting info about customers to make a better business), product/service management(desining,developing,maintaing,improving), and promotion(. we have learned all of them except for promotion. you need to know all 7 of them in order to have a successful business because they all link together. also to have a successful business you need good marketing and the 7 key functions are the main ones.

favorite superbowl commercial

my favorite commercial was the bud light meeting. they were trying to sell bud light. the promotion was funny because they threw a guy out the window for saying something dumb. they didn't say a price or a place because it so well know.

water and salt

today we had to carry salt and water to the other side of the room. we could only use the matirals that she gave us which was a spoon, straw, and a paper towl. first we used the paper towl to carry the salt then soaked it in water to carry the water. also we sucked up the water with the straw to carry it.

What i want to learn in this class is.....idk...idk what this class is even about. I guess i want to learn how the entertainment and sports business works and how you would market them. I want to learn how would be the best way to advertise them in T.V. or a newspaper. Also what goes in to doing it.
